Any vacation packing tips?

I'm going away for 25 days to the mediterreanan and italy. im going to spend some time in rome and then take a cruise around the mediteranean. what are some pratical packing tips to save space and stuff. tip like packing socks and underwear inside shoes. e-z ten points 4 first good answer.

roll all of your clothes up, it saves room, it really does! and socks and undies in shoes is good, too :) that's all i can think of, have fun :)

Roll your clothes up tightly, bring clothes that you need... put out everything you think you will need and just bring half of what you put out, b/c thats all you'll use.  Trust me, I did that on my four month trip across Europe and I honestly didnt use everything I brought with me in my backpack. Socks are the most over rated item to bring.  Just bring with you about 5 pairs of socks with you and about 5 underwear b/c its so easy to wash and they dry fast.  So why bring more if you can just wash them and they dry fast.. less to carry more room to buy things and bring home :)

If you got two small shirts, roll them up together, too.

just bring what you need, casual wear, toilet roll without the roll.

I use Eagle Creek packing cubes.  It's kind of like having drawers and they keeps your suitcase organized.  http://www.luggage.com/Packing-and-Organ...

I hate trying to find something at the bottom of my suitcase and having to pull everything else out.  This way, I put all of my underwear and socks in one cube.  All of my shirts get rolled up into another cube.  Everything stays really neat - and I'm usually so messy!  

If you don't want to buy the cubes, you could try using some plastic bags.  You could put all of your socks and underwear in a large ziplock.
