  1. Im 12 and im a vegetarion, my parents say its just a faise. But I love animals!! I just cant eat them!!!!

  2. it's really not hard at all! :)

  3. I've been veggie a year and a bit, so not that long :)

I don't find it hard but i know lots of people who don't understand it and think it's stupid and try to argue that its not right for humans to be vegetarian or whatever which can be pretty annoying sometimes..

  4. I've been vegetarian for about 15 years. At first I missed certain foods - bacon, lamb, and so on - but had no problem keeping away from them. These days I have lost all taste for meat. I enjoy my food much more being veggie because I have to think about what I eat; as a meat eater I was lazy and just ate anything. I've very rarely been in positions where I found it hard to be veggie. At first I was veggie because it was healthy, but now I have come to accept the moral dimension more and believe it uncivilised to eat animals unless one has to.

  5. Yes. Been one for about a year.

    No its fine.

  6. I have been a vegetarian for 20 years . No I don't find it a difficult choice. To be honest everyone tells me I look younger than I am . And my figure has not gone South . I put it down to lack of chemicals in the meat.

  7. I have been a vegetarian for more than a year, and vegan for more than a month. It's not hard.

There are approximately 7.3 million of us just in the U.S.! :) Check out http://www.vegtaste.com/main/posting.php... for more info.

  8. i replied to your previous question but thats interesting you dont know many veggys....

what country do you live in?

maybe its because im still between school/colege, i guess lots of people do it at this age, but i know LOADS of vegetarians and vegans!

  9. I've been actively vegetarian for about 8 years, before that I barely ate any meat, never eaten fish (it always seemed a little disgusting) or lamb (it's a little wierd when you keep sheep)

  10. I've been veggie for 24 years now.

I don't find it particularly hard in catering for myself. It's when I eat at other people houses that problems start.

My Mother-in-Law will always cook chicken-claiming she is vegetarian, and eats chicken, and if I don't eat chicken or fish, then I must be vegan!!

My Aunt will use the same serving utensils for my food as she's just used on a meat dish

    Etc, etc!!!

  11. uhh im vegitarian

    and on and off vegan

dont find it hard - ive been vegitarian my whole life

  12. i'm 15 now andI've been a vegetarian since I was 3. My mom told me it was made of dead animals and i never ate it again.

I don't find it hard at all. There are vegetarian options in every restaurant I've ever gone to and I never have the urge to go eat any meat. The idea grosses me out too much.

    =)

  13. olah im a vegitarian of 4 years and im only ... well lets just say im not a teen yet. its easy when you get into it. im glad for u cause your helpin all those animals. u r kewl!!!

  14. we are omnivores, the dominant species of this earth... we have k9 teeth to tear meat & molar's for grinding veg/fruit, we were born to eat meat just as we were born to grow old and die.

By being a vegan or vegiterian i see it as a sign of mental weaknes & caring emotionaly for a weaker species.

  15. naaaa -x

  16. nope

  17. Hey, I've been vegetarian for 5 years.

I find that i hardly ever crave meat at all, and when i do it normally goes away faster then it came.

But really, i don't find it hard at all, i can't see myself going back.

I have many vegetarian friends :)

  18. I'm not a vegetarian but my brother is. He didn't find it to difficult at all, apart from my stepmother's cooking. He's at this lark for years now and he wouldn't change a thing.

  19. I'm a vegetarian! Only for 4 days though hehe. And I heard the first 2 weeks are the hardest. I have to cover my eyes whenever I see meat on TV.

  20. A couple of years (again).  I sometimes find it hard. If it wasn't hard most meat eaters would say 'hey, let's be considerate and not eat living feeling animals',.  Many worthwhile things don't come easy.  I make things more difficult as I am a sugar and junk eater.

  21. Yup. I suppose I'm technically a flexitarian, though I've been pretty strict for a few months now.

It's not that hard, really. Then again, I live in Seattle, so there are a lot of us hippies around here.

However, I travel quite a bit. In other parts of the world, most people have a very different idea of vegetarian. For example, in some Asian countries, fish is considered vegetarian. (Not only that, it's considered a vegetarian mainstay.)

When I'm traveling, especially in a place where the concept of vegetarianism is really different, or the language barrier is too great, I'm more flexible. For example, I won't ask about chicken stock or fish sauce, nor will I avoid eating something that was cooked on the same grill.

I don't think it's wrong to kill animals for food. My reasons for avoiding animal flesh are more complicated. There's room in my personal ethos for eating meat, even though I don't usually do it. That's why I call myself a flexitarian. (Plus I eat cheese, most of which is definitely not vegetarian.)

But the hardest part is probably when I go out to eat or pick up something in the deli at the grocery store. People don't usually know off the top of their head and have to go and check on fats and stocks.

  22. I've been a vegetarian for 31 years, since I was 10 (my parents thought it was a phase).  It's only hard when I'm traveling and the fast food places on the road are all full of meat (McDonalds - even their salads have meat!). In London, the McDonald's have delicious veggie burgers - I wish they would add that to the menu here in the USA!
