  1. Judging by some of the 7 year olds roaming our streets I would have thought padded straight jackets would have been more appropriate, for the boys as well.

  2. That is disgusting maybe it is time to again 'Burn the Bra' and not for women's lib but for' Little girls to have a Childhood' that would teach them a lesson, I have a 7 year old grandaughter.

    BURN THE BRA

  3. Its absolutely disgusting and they wonder why there is so much child pornography in the world.

It just proves that Tesco will do anything to make money!!

  4. parents should vote with their feet and leave them on shelves at 7 kids should not be exposed bras are for teenagers and adults at the age of 7 dolls are more appropriate

  5. bleurgh!!!

my daughter has just turned 6... the very thought is gross.

kids need to be kids for as long as possible.. being grown up & an adult is no walk in the park & kids need to play and feel young.

  6. Why on earth would any mother buy those for that age group?

First it was the pole dancing kit, now this; what's Tesco playing at - is it for publicity or what as they appear to have lost the plot.

  7. The person who came up with that idea should be in a padded cell.

  8. 7 year olds should NOT  be worrying about b***s.... they should be more worried about bugs and building forts or pretending to be a bride at a wedding... when i was seven i didnt even think about having b***s, they were just those things that adults had and i was fine with not having them because that meant i was free to run around w/o a shirt on!

Whoever made that is sick and demented and maybe they should be looked into to see if they have.... oh i dont know....any rape charges???

    preversion.... thats what it is

  9. Good grief

Little girls will be begging their Mums to buy these padded bras for them. And end up looking much older and dangerously attractive to the wrong people.

Judging from the comments of the ladies so far, we can hope the mothers of young girls will refuse to buy such 'adult' underwear for their daughters. Or we could hope the girls would feel so uncomfortable that they change their minds and refuse to wear them.

Either way, I consider it dangerous and irresponsible to dress a 7 yr old in a padded bra

  10. I think its stupid and unnecessary! First of all, they do not need a bra at that age. Most girls only start growing breast at around 10/11, not 7! Girls of that age should concentrate about having fun with their friends, not bras and boys! 7 years old is too young for a girl to be worrying about puberty and growing b*****s. Why don't girls of that age wear crop tops and vests, its not as if they need to show off their cleavage(or lack of cleavage!) at that age.

    :)

  11. Why in the world would anyone want to buy a bra for a 7 year old? It's hard enough for young girls entering into adolescence and dealing with body image. Imagine the kind of self conciousness a 7 year old will have wearing a bra. They shouldn't even have to think about that. Those need to be taken off the shelves and people need to flood that company with complaints.

  12. Times have descended into madness.

  13. I think it's awful

Who in their right mind would buy a 7 year old a bra never mind a padded bra?!

I hope Tesco do the right thing and remove them

  14. They have padded bra's fo 7 year olds? Thats rediculous! If a seven year old has developed early then fair enough but they shouldn't have padded bra's they don't need them.

  15. bras for 7 year olds thats rediculous....what on earth are these people thinking of their trying to get our little ones to grow up way before their time.i also hope their removed from shelves quickly i would never let my daughter wear or want a bra at 7.

  16. I think that a child should only be given a bra if they have something to put in it - but someone must be buying them or they wouldn't have put them in the stores.

More worrying than the clothes are the effects they are having on children who are talking on line about sexual encounters - ffs they should be playing dressup with baby dolls at this age!

  17. absolutely disgraceful. i have a good mind to write a letter of complaint.

  18. Nice eh !

Must be the upper matching part of Tesco Thong for toddlers !

I don't quite know why but I was under the impression Perverts and Paedophiles suppose to be arrested.

Obviously, when a top man from Tesco sits at number 10, deciding economic policies, it's no way they will stop that kind of perversion happening when it makes profits.

  19. This is actually a shame, im only 16 myself, i didnt start wearing a bra till i was 12.  Kids are growing up too quick these days, their missing out on a childhood. Wellllll....its the parents fault if they buy them one!!!

  20. I think it is awful.

It is however not Tesco's fault- if there was no demand for the product it they would not be stocked...

So once again, it is parents fault...

  21. There must be a seriously dodgy character working in Tesco's that would put forward an idea like this. What's more worrying is others actually had to agree or it wouldn't get in the range.

Why would anyone want to accomodate this sick idea.Let kids have their childhood.

  22. Disgusting, when will we leave children to grow up in their own time.

  23. Very little surprises or shocks me anymore, I only hope that the parents who actually buy these for their little girls don't start crying when their daughters are abused, predators paradise.

  24. that is horrible....I have to look that up....Shameful.

EDIT: did you see the end of that article?? It reads: "The row comes after Tesco had to remove a pole-dancing kit from the toy section of its website in 2006 after it was accused of “destroying kids’ innocence”.

    Shocking

  25. sometimes words fail me ... who on earth thought this was a good idea in the first place ?  They shouldn't be given any more jobs that require thinking.

  26. Bras for 7 year olds!?!? Thats just not right! I think that they should be removed also. It's getting outrageous. I went to the pool 2 weeks ago and saw a 3 year old in itsy-bitsy bikini. and when my niece came home from Maine, she was wearing short short shorts and a halter top! and shes 7! Like i said, its just not right.

  27. i may be wrong but i believe tesco and other major stores sell thongs for 6 year olds.any mother that buys rubbish like this needs a good slap.

tesco always say that they are suppling a demand. actually tesco create the demand

  28. I quite agree.  My 10 year old friend wants a padded bra.  She is starting to develop a little but actually doesn't need a bra except with very thin clothing.  She showed me the padded bras for sale at Target, very tiny ones.  Her mom seemed okay with the idea, but I said I was not willing to be responsible for giving a padded bra to a 10 year old.  She doesn't need to be sexualized to this extent.

  29. That's is so gross!!

when i was seven years old the last thing i was thinking about was how big my b***s were. anyone who buys these for there little girls needs there head checked. not only does it set a bad example but this will lead people to think its okay to look at these young girls. just disgusting !!!

  30. Tesco,s dont care all they care about is profit, they should be taken off sale and burnt.

  31. rather idiotic.... besides what mother would buy it untill her child needs one... there so unconfortanble and y should they grow up so fast anyway. im still uncomfortable with wearing one and im 16. the only type of bra kids need is (if they are a fast developer is a minimezer
