  1. As always, Rillifan is full of good advice!

I would like to add that there are two good vintage clothes stores in the Marais, one on the Rue St Croix de la Bretonnerie just before the rue Vielle du Temple and the other on the rue des Rosiers.

If you get hungry, go to L'As du Fallafel at n°34 rue des Rosiers (not on Saturday), that would be worth your trip, even if you don't find any bargains.

    Happy hunting.

  2. Paris is a shoppers Paradise.

The landscape changes constantly and I suggest that you prowl the side streets in the Marais(4th arr.), the Latin Quarter(5th)  and St. Germain (6th) looking at the vast number of often tiny little shops that are on almost every street.

The Marches aux Puces (Flea Markets) are also great places to poke around. There's a lot of new stuff of course but its remarkable what you can find.

The most well know of the flea markets is at Saint Ouen (technically a suburb) which can be reached by taking the metro to the Garibaldi stop. There is a website for the market here: http://www.parispuces.com/en/Default.asp

Another good choice is the Puces de Monteuil which occurs along the Avenue de la Porte de Montreuil. Take the metro to the Porte de Montreuil  stop to get there.
