Basically, i paper-mashéd (spelling?) part of a canvas board and the glue has made that section curve upwards, id like it to be as flat as possible and was wondering if there is any way possible to do this?

i paper-machéd my piece with newspaper not tissue paper if that makes any difference..

thanks

  1. Cover with a slightly damp tea towel and use your steam iron to flatten it. That's the only thing I can think of.

  2. I am not sure if this will work but its a thought... use a warm damp wash cloth and lay it over the area you want to unbend. cover that with plastic wrap then place a book over that . hopefully the damp will let the glue become more plyable and the added weight will flaten the area down. it may have to stay on for several hours.  and if it works it will need to dry again and you should probably keep the wt on it but use the plastic wrap or something else so the wt won't get stuck to it.
