  1. That's a great plan, until someone stronger than you comes and takes everything you have, and there is no one to complain to or help you because you are all on your own...

Governments exist for a reason; they need to be limited, but it would be the end of humanity to get rid of them all together.

  2. The only way to live without a government would be to buy a piece of land (an island would be preferable), manage to obtain Independence from whatever government currently controls said piece of land, then set up your society.  Which you would be the government of.  So I guess technically no, you would still be governing yourself, i assuming without regulation.  Anytime more than one people occupy the same space some type of government emerges, even if it's just you and person B agreeing who's side of the island is who's.

  3. Change the googlies you are using. Taxes are not your enemy. Your enemy is lack of a wider view of the world. Go to a third world nation and look around really good. See what it is like when government consists primarily of armed guards around the best neighborhoods and banks.

Sounds a little like America to you, with all her gated communities and privileges for the rich. Got any sense of why America is backing into the third world reality?

    Its coming, don't miss it!

  4. There is a move underway in several states including Vermont and Texas to secede from the U.S.. So far, the Vt one is the most serious and successful.

    I've provided the link:

  5. Got around 30-50 million dollars? Then you could buy a nice Island. Otherwise you are stuck with gov't and taxes unless you want anarchy. For that go to Iraq or  a third world country in Africa then come back and tell me how much you are willing to be taxed.

  6. Sure. As long as you want no schools, no roads, no police, no hospitals, no electricity, no heat, no food other than what you catch or grow, no welfare, no imports of products you probably use daily.

Even this country was founded to escape exactly what you detail and we soon realized you need a government, which needs revenue to perform and provide services. Are you going to build your own powerplant or pave your own roads? The hippies tried that c**p in the 60's and 70's and most gave up after a few years when their food ran out, they got sick, fights erupted, their supplies ran low etc etc.

Now you just have to find some land that is not owned and subject to the laws of some nation. Impossible.

The closest you could get is living off the grid in Alaska or the far north of Canada.

Have fun... I give you a week til you miss starbucks and your IPOD battery dies...LOL

  7. You could become Amish......

  8. Try living in a national forrest.  If you have no income or property, you'll pay no taxes.

  9. yes, ask walmart to provide you with clean drinking water.

See if it fits int their budget.

  10. highly unlikely.

  11. You are insane. Government as close to perfect as it can get is outlined in the US Constitution. It is what our government should be. When we change the government this election, its what our government WILL be.

A National highway system, a world class military, and a big friend who will help protect your rights and maintain trade throughout the states and world.

*With no government, you are ultimately your neighbors slave.

  12. Alright...

Move to a 3rd world country...you'll love it there.

  13. Find an uninhabited island somewhere and move there?

I don't think it's possible otherwise... I believe that any group of humans will form some sort of "government", whether it is formalized or not.

I'd ask you to let us know it's going, but I doubt you'll have internet access, not to mention electricity.
