Any way to help a mouth ulcer?

My daughter, 5, has a small ulcer inside her mouth, bottom lip. Are there any old wives tales on how to make this feel any better? Everywhere I googled said to wait the 4 days for healing, but I want her to have some kind of relief. Thanks!

  1. A proven way to get rid of these is to make up some saltwater.. have her swish it around in her mouth and spit it out.. however since she is 5 and I am 19 and still don't like the taste of salt water it may be a tough thing to do but it does work but it would be safe if she accidentally swallowed it. Just do that a couple times a day and it will be gone.

  2. buy some bonjela from your local shop its for mouth ulcers x

  3. Actually salt is not the answer. Only time will make it go away. However, you MUST stay away from salt and chocolate, they'll ony aggravate it. To help with the pain and/or discomfort, but baby orajel and put a dab on it every couple of hours or so. Give it about a week at the most. Hope she feels better!
