  1. You might want to replace your ac filter with one that contains baking soda.  It definitely helps.

  2. i am not sure if you can stop it - its probably the lovely spices in the food - it may help to have a room freshener sachet somewhere near your kitchen -I find vanilla is good.

When you cook do you use a lid on the pot, that may help to stop the smells - you could also try and old fashioned remedy that is supposed to work for cooking cabbage to help - put a slice of bread if you can across the top of the pot contents, if its too liquid - perhaps you could put a rack across to hold the bread and then the lid.

If all else fails don't worry about the smells, instead invite your neighbour to share some food -  you might make a nice new friend and increase your social activity - who knows your neighbour might reciprocate and invite you over for a meal

  3. I have seen kitchen candles in shops that say they will help with cooking odors.  You could also put a big pot of water on  first and add cinnamon and cloves etc to it.  But isn't it nice that you have some really good recipes.  If I was your neighbor, I'd be sniffing around for a taste.
