Any ways to boost your social life and make new friends?

I was always a loser in grade school and but in grade 8 I changed and became way more confident and stuff but I still only have a few friends and I would love a boyfriend. I've determined not to rebel(my other question) but I need to find something to do because I'm bored and I don't want to get myself into trouble.

join an extracurricular activity, it's a great way to meet people with similar interests.

Get involed in high school. It will keep you out of trouble, you'll gain new friends, and you'll maybe meet a cute guy :) But really, guys take time. Just go with the flow. Everything will fall into place at the right moments. You can't push that stuff<33

i was kind of in the same situation because i was going to a new school last year and i'm also shy. it will feel really uncomfortable at first, but you just have to try and get out of your comfort zone. try joining clubs/sports or just talking to new people in your class and their friends. also, try to meet the new people too because they're trying to make friends already like you are

Join a saturday bowling league, see what is going on at your YMCA or YWCA, volunteer at the salvation army, check out the park district or community college and see if anything is going on there that you can participate in.

I like just walk up to them, don't be afraid, and just smile or wave to anyone that might notice, or smile before you.  Or, you can just play hard to get, and flirt with everybody else but him.

Just start to have radom conversations with people in your class. Ask someone what they think of yesterday's math problem or ask about what they did over summer. If you have these conversations with people in your class, it will grow into a friendship!

As for a boyfriend, it is always best to start out as being just friends so doing it that way while looking for boyfriends too will work!

I know exactly how it is, I'm a freshman at high school and I'm 14 too.

Hang out with the friends you have at the mall or the movies or something fun to do in your area ! Eventually , if you or one of your friend's catch the eye of a boy , him & his friends will maybe come up & talk to you & your friends , you could exchange phone numbers & hang out as a big group .

Or you could even hang out with your friends & tell them to bring along other people they know !
