  1. dimensions will vary from sub to sub.

but this information, the recommended cubic feet, is always provided by the manufacturer of the subwoofer.

you can either check your manual or search on the website of the manufacturer of your subwoofer for this information.

if the box is done way too big, it will damage the subwoofer.

also, if the box is way too small, it will damage the subwoofer.

as far as "air holes" goes... this depends on the build itself.

the placement of the subwoofers on the vehicle has a huge impact on the build. it can either make it sound great.. or make it sound bad.

again, this depends on your vehicle.

but usually, in a car, i would make the subwoofers face to the rear of the car and port face to the rear of the car.

in a truck, like a suv, you will get the best performance if the subwoofers are facing up *to the sky* and the port facing to the rear.

in a truck, like a ranger, it usually sounds best if the sub is facing up and port is facing up.

on a side note, i would recommend you going with a tuning frequency of 32 Hz for your port. this will allow the subs to get very loud and still have good sound quality.

if you want to be even a bit louder but loose all the sound quality, tune to 33~38Hz.
