Any weight gain on Mirena?

I have been on Mirena almost 3 months and want to know what other women have experienced with it. My cycle has become very irregular. I have heard that in time they go away completely. Is this true and how long have you used it?

Also, any emotional changes or headaches from it?

I have had Mirena for 2 years and have no periods or bleeding at all. I have had no problems with it and it has been the best form of birth control with no weight gain or side effects.

I have been using Mirena since Dec. 2007. For the first 3 months, I bled almost continually. After that, it went to like 3 days a month and it was significantly lighter. Now (8 months later), I  still have my cycle for like 3 days, but its more like bleed for 3 or 4 hours then the next time I use the facilities there's nothing. The next time it's there again. It's basically here and there throughout the 3 days, but it's better in my opinion. If you can make it through the first trying months, you'll be fine. I know that everyone is different, but I think that for the most part, it will be better. If not, there's another birth control method that's similar to Mirena except they insert it into your arm. Aside from the insertion point, everything else is just about the same as far as I know. Hope this helps!!!! Good luck!
