Insurance agent can be replaced with Insurance Producer.

Is there anything else I can use instead of agent?

  1. You can't call yourself a broker if you're an agent.  THAT makes no sense.  There is a difference.

  2. salesman, consultant, representative, officer

  3. professional

  4. how about advisor

  5. There's no such thing as an insurance "producer". That doesn't make any sense in English.

Agent is a perfectly good word. You might also say insurance broker, or insurance representative, or insurance salesman (or salesperson).

  6. You're actually correct, Producer is an insurance term in some states.  For example, I am licensed in the state of Arizona.  The Arizona Department of Insurance acknowledges people as Licensed Insurance Producers, not Agents.  There's actually no such thing as a licensed agent in Arizona, we're all producers by licensing standards.  I'm not entirely sure if any other states use official terms other than agent or producer though.

I'm referring to this from a state licensing standpoint though, there are all sorts of terms used by different insurance companies.  For example, my official company title is Financial Services Representative because of my combination of licenses.  There are probably dozens or hundreds of different terms used by different companies.
