Any youth basketball coaches / teams out there?

How did you guys get started in coaching or creating the team?

I ask because the area to where I live at (Ruskin, Fl) there are no youth basketball teams in the area.

I'm not looking to build a AAU type team or anything big. I'm just looking small for right now and if it grows, then it grows. There are kids in the area because there's a Pop Warner team that plays nearby, so the kids are there. I just don't know what would be "Step 1" to get the ball rolling.

step 1 would be publicizing your plan.. getting youth interested in what you want to do
