Any1 Know How To use either the cubase program or Sonar 7 ?

i have both softwares on my laptop to record music and stuff, but my laptop has a built in mic, and i have an interface and mic pluged in to my usb, when i plug it in the computer wont recognize the interface, it only recognizes the built in microphone, does anyone know how to fix it :]

is your external soundcard asio compatible?

you will have to specify the external one as the one to use in your computers volume settings, under advanced then devices, make sure any software and drivers needed to run the usb interface are installed from the cd that came with it, if your still having problems, google your particular interface model along with "cubase/sonar7 setup."

Do a tutorial search on the web...I use MANY audio programs, as I like to make my own techno/dance. That is your best bet, everything I've picked up on...has come from playing around with it and a bit from the net's tutorials.
