If so, who did you order through and any advice for places of interest would be welcomed. I'm going in December.

  1. I've used this site to book tickets when people come to visit and want to see the Cenacolo. Note that you can also call the phone number +39 02 8942 1146. You can book the last supper up to 60 days in advance, so tickets for December are on sale now. The tickets go fast, so you'll want to check at the earliest opportunity. However, there shouldn't be as much demand as at the height of the tourist season. Note that you need to be there at least 15 minutes ahead of your reserved time or you may not get in.

While you're in Milan, make sure to visit the roof of the duomo (while the weather is nice). The small museum in La Scala is also interesting. If you're there between the 7th and the 9th, the Oh Bej! Oh Bej! Christmas market is pretty good although it can be very crowded in the narrow streets.

I'd also recommend taking a day trip to Bergamo - it's about an hour from Milano Centrale station by train.
