The radar graphic looks like the same one they have used since the late 1980's. And everytime I turn it on it's a documentary about past or possible future storms (It could happen tomorrow). And it seems like 1/2 of their time is talking ablout global warming and going green...d**n...I just want my local forcast not to be preached to about buying a hybrid car. I've heard even the founder of the channel isn't very happy with the way it's going anymore.

  1. The weather channel isn't going up or down hill. I say it's in the middle. Each day about 4 or 5 thousand people watch it, and it is 24 hour weather information so I think it's cool.

The last guy stated that the founder tried to sell The Weather Channel to another company because not even he liked it anymore, CNN offered to buy it for $89.5 Million but CNN changed their minds when they heard about what was happening. Than NBC offered the same price and they *DIDN'T* change their minds link CNN did. Nbc now owns it but they never actually told the public that.

I still watch the weather channel before I go to school each day that way I know if it's gonna rain or not and how hot it'll be.

  2. The Weather Channel was put up for sale about a year ago.  It was finally sold  to NBC who are owned by General Electric.  I think they beat out CNN and another network.

  3. Was there ever really an up hill for the Weather Channel?

  4. Hey, you only need to post your question once.

  5. Yea is has changed probably to get better ratings.

Maybe they should have 2 channels one for whats going on now and one for what happened b4 today.

Some of the shows about past hurricanes are really interesting ,like the one about the hurricane that hit Galveston Texas a long time a go.

I say that show twice it was so interesting.

If you really do not like what they are doing send them an email, I am sure they like getting feed back.
