Let's see, if you mean something covert, doping or something, probably not.

If you mean removing children from their family if that child displays a physical trait or ability that would make them good at a certain sport or discipline, putting them in a training camp where they live and only see their families rarely, if ever; and eat, drink and breathe the sport that the government has assigned them to, all day, every day....then yes. If you call that cheating. I call it a totalitarian government, but that's just me.

What's wrong?  China has been heavy favorites to win the most gold medals in Beijing 2008 from day one, and they are still heavy 2-5 favorites to win the most.

If you didn't act ignorant you would realize that China dominates weightlifting every year.  How can you possibly cheat to get judges to judge you favorably in weightlifting?

China just worked extremely hard, as it was their home Olympics. They wished to prove their pride, as it is equal to losing a home game, except China's motivation was that their "home game" may never happen again for them. Being in the US, I believe that the US teams were being a bit more lazy, as our highly ranked boys volleyball doubles lost to a team that was ranked 23 or something.

Hey, I just posed a question just now, about Chinese people.. Mine was about knowing a single Chinese person in your life who wasn't brilliant.. I don't think they're cheating. I think they're just outstanding at everything they do because they push themselves and they're determined and motivated to better themselves.. Just my personal take on it though.

It just looks like they are out classing the competition at most events that I have seen them winning.  The country's government puts a lot of importance on the strength of their athletes and it is showing.

The Chinese have been selectively breeding and training athletes like Yao Ming for over 50 years, not to mention that that have a gene pool of 1.5 billion people to choose from.

The US only has a total population of ~300 million and has to rely on athletic people to be born by chance.

Nah.  They've been preparing for this moment since they won the Olympic bid years ago and now we're seeing the results of all that hard work.  I enjoyed watching the Chinese gymnast who won the men's all around, especially at the end when he was joking around a little for the camera.  Sure, I enjoy watching the US athletes do well, but I also like watching individual achievements no matter where the athlete is from.
