  1. I   Have  Been  To  The  Playa  Del  Ingles  In  The  Canary  Islands,  If  I  Tell  The  Turth  I  Found  It  To  Be  18/30  Area,  Myself  I  Moved  And  Went  Near  The  Sand  Doms  It  Was  Realy  Nice  There  And  Very  Quite

  2. Been there twice, Like most of the Canary Islands It is clean, but not necessarily cheap. Plenty of Bars and shopping Centres. It is situated on a hillside, where most of the Hotels and apartments are away from the beach. The beach is soft yellow sand with bars and restaurants (even a McDonalds) on the beachside. Alongside Playa are "The Dunes" - a large area of sand dunes where you can walk round to Maspalomas (the next village) on the shoreline, but close your eyes as you walk through the nudist area, there are some terrible sights there!! (Gross Continentals). One bar you must visit, is La Belle in the Jumbo centre. It is actually an open air g*y BAR, but many NORMAL people attend, the drinks are slightly more costly, but they put on a 2 hour comedy show on stage, it is well worth it. I wouldn't hire a car, not that they are too expensive, but most of the Islands roads, exept the main carriageways are a toil of a pleasre to drive around, use local transport instead, or trips from agencies or reps. You get the odd "African Hippy/Gypsy types" trying to give you gifts then charging the earth for them - watch out for them as they appear from nowhere (they are harmless but pests) Hope this Helps -Enjoy your Holiday

  3. Yes - what exactly do you want to know?

    Hope this helps.....

South to West - Playa del Inglés

Beach and nightlife is probably the best way to describe Playa del Inglés (Beach of the Englishman), the biggest holiday complex in all of Spain together with Maspalomas and San Agustín. This is a fun-and-sun resort of high-rise hotels, shopping malls and fast-food restaurants. Created in the 1960's on what was up to that point barren land - it is now a ‘tourist hyper-centre’ and famous throughout Europe.

In between Indian bazaars, with all sorts of goods from rags to radios, innumerable restaurants compete for your attention with international dishes, traditional breakfasts from half a dozen countries and anything else they can think of. Playa del Inglés is also the place where you find several huge commercial centres, the biggest of which are the Yumbo Centre (in Avenida de España – next to the Tourism Office) and Kasbah (in Plaza del Teide) with all kinds of boutiques and shops.

If you are looking for monuments or other cultural sites, this is not the place for it! Daylight hours are for the beach or shopping and with the nightfall the scenery changes completely when the bubbling family atmosphere disappears as discos and nightclubs swing into action until dawn. Also, what you will surely find here are plenty of English, German, Dutch and Scandinavian restaurants and bars!

Yet, for more spiritual needs, there is the Templo Ecuménico de San Salvador, a church providing ecumenical services in three different languages.

Should you get tired of the beach, there is an attractive pedestrian promenade, the Paseo Costa Canaria, lined with lush tropical flora and luxurious villas. It runs all along the beach linking the Playa de las Burras in the east with the point where the natural park of the Maspalomas dunes begins.

  4. It's a very busy area full of bars and restaurants. Ideal if you want a lively holiday but not perfect if you want a quiet relaxing one.

  5. yes.... nice but verry windy!!!

nice surf... and cold in early evening...good food...

  6. Yes. It is a great place for everybody.

There are quiet bars and beaches, very crowded ones, places where homosexuals gather in abundance and place where they don't.

The resort doesn't have a single Centre but it does have half a dozen "Centres" which are basically shopping malls during the day but come alive into bar and clubland at night. The "Yumbo" is the homosexual one at night.

There is an expanse of sand dunes (Dunas Maspalomas) which are well worth a visit.

If you get the chance then book a trip to the "Souix City". It's an old film set and they put on a great Wild West show in the evening.

    Enjoy.
