Any1 know any ring games to play with nursery children age 3?

Doggy where's our bone - i know it from Montessori nurseries. It is where a child - the dog - lies on a blanket and covers thier eyes. A teacher will place a bone on the dogs back and will point to a child and the child will creep up and take the bone and put it behind their back. the bone could be a piece of stick or similar. all the children will put thier hands behind thier back and the children would then say Doogy where is your bone, and wake up doggy (you can name the dog - we called it Digger). the dog will then go to a child and bark, the child will show their hands. The dog gets a maximum of three barks before the child shows the bone. The child who had the bone becomes the dog and so on until all the children have had a turn.

duck duck goose/ the kids get in circle and sit on the floor one child goes around each child and tap them on the head saying duck duck when the child say goose to one the kids they run around the circle  the child saying  duck duck must sit where the person was sitting

Letters usually work well for this too.  Or animals.  You could set up a toss where each bag has a letter and the child has to say the letter and name an animal that it starts with.  For their age group, I would keep it simple though & stick to letters that have been taught.

One of my old time faves was wink murder. Get all the ids to sit in a circle, choose one child to stand outside the class he is the detective, then you choose another to be the murderer he/she will win at the other students who will then pretend to die the detective has 3 guesses to guess who the murderer is before all the kids 'die'! =]

There is also old time games such as duck duck goose etc!

get all in a circle-call out names of say fruits and clap the syllables- such as a pples-2 claps but tell them at the start that they cant say a certain word-such as oranges-if they do by mistake they sit down for a minute-i mean u can say the word oranges and clap but when they hear the word they must just stand still-gosh its a simple game i hope i havent made it sound difficult
