Question:

Anybody been prosecuted for non-participation in the US Census?

Personally intrusive questions and data security concerns compel many receipients to become non-responders. But US Code cites and threats of fines aside-HAS ANYONE ever been prosecuted? Any resident ever fined or imprisoned for not completing the census questionaire booklet?

With enough of the general populace falling all over themselves to 'volunteer' a response, shouldn't consciencious objectors be allowed their privacy/anonimity? Should our government demand the 30-40 minutes required to complete the initial survey as unpaid (slave) labor? Does our right to privacy end with the Bureau's promise of security?

  3. This is a perfect example of the Sovietization of America.  SIgn on the dotted line comrade or off to the camps with you.  No one has the right to force you to disclose anything other than your name, adress and birthrate for any reason at all.  Any 'law' that says otherwise is invalid from its inception and therefore without lawful force.  It is that simple.
