Anybody been to florida?

specifically st petersburg and tampa area? i am moving and wanted to know if it was nice area and if theres lots jobs available? THANK YOU!

Yes I was there, Indian rocks beach very nice place, check with the chamber of commerce there, they can tell you the job outlook for the area.

Florida in general isn't a great place for jobs.  Florida is known for their extremely high senior population.  Tampa/St. Petersburg isn't the best area, though it's not the worst either.

i lived in sarasota for 6 years (about an hour south of tampa and 30 min from st. pete) and would visit both places frequently.  i liked them very much--wonderful weather (none of the projected hurricanes ever actually hit us!), lots to do, and it was never difficult for me to find an unskilled job (working at a restaurant, bookstore, office help), although i am not sure what area you are looking for work in.  anyhow i found it a very peaceful but not boring area, and i loved the sun--hope you do too! ;)

i went to all the toruist spots discovery cove disney world all that good stuff, i went when i was a kid but i remember there were some good times to have there last time i went i was 15 and i went to discovery cove that was even better that disney world imo ( i don't remember much about disney world i was like 6 or 7 when i went)
