I&#039;m unclear as to what you mean.

If you are asking why the differences, the bottom line is money.

The manufacturers of home textiles only make money when we buy their goods.  If we buy a tablecloth, for instance, and use it for several years they have lost out on revenue.  If they can convince us that we need a different color or print for each season and each holiday then they make more money.

If you are asking for an explanantion of the differing colors those tend to relate to nature.  Springtime home textiles draw on Easter and the flowers of spring ( pink, mint green, lavender, etc ). Summer colors draw on the beach and summer fruits ( coral, sand, turquoise, mediterranean blue and crisp white, melon, mango, lemon ). Fall relies on the changing leaves and harvest tones ( gold, amber, orange, sienna, avacado ) Winter relies more on texture than color so much.  Woolens, fuzzy throws/afghans, chenille, heavy cozy textures.  I do tend to think of winter white, silver, icy blues and lavenders for winter decorating.  You will see burgundy and kelly green alot because of the Christmas holiday.  If people are having guests for the holidays they tend to replace tablecloths, sheets. towels, etc and might go with a seasonal theme and choose that color combination.
