Question:

Anybody else get screwed by the NASCAR.com Trackpass?

If you ever think about signing up for a two week trial period for the NASCAR trackpass, don't. It's not that great with a lot of bugs, not to mention easy to forget to call in and cancel. Which is what they go for. So I got stuck with it for a year at $79. No big deal, my mistake. I used it when I could and paid the price. But now my credit card showed another charge from them. They automatically charge you for another year and keep it going with no email or notice. I had no clue and I called and they said that I have to cancel, not sign up for another year and they can cancel it but they don't think they can refund me at all.

  1. Dont sign up for the 2 week free trial! There not suppose to bill you until the end of the 2 weeks, I was billed within 2 minutes causing my bank account to be overdrawn. Ofcourse when I called to complain I got "Oh were sorry, our computer system is down, someone will call you back tomorrow" . Well that never happenend and now when I try to call them I get a recorded message and disconnected. Its a ripoff, and the service sucks anyway. I cancelled my debt card and got a new one so They cant try to bill me again next year, and my bank is going after them.  A lesson learned I suppose.

  2. I called to cancel and they said too late, but they did offer to change me to a 6 month plan and refund the full year plan, however, they have now charged me for both the full year and the six month plan through Paypal and no refund so I am currenlty out over $100 from my checking account.  Paypal says Nascar is to blame, and Nascar says it's Paypal.  Help.  Who do you contact to file a complaint?

  3. I had this happen to me last year and was furious.  I called and canceled but of course I was on the hook for last year's $79.95 charge...imagine my surprise this year when I was hit for another $79.95 charge!  I called and complained (loudly) but after some investigation was told it was because I had two accounts.  I am not disputing that I might have signed up several years ago under another e-mail address but last year was not charged twice so they obviously either canceled another subscription or had to look hard to find one to charge it to this year.  These people are horrible, will not let you talk to a supervisor nor will they admit they are wrong.  I told them to put notationst to NEVER open another account for me.
