Anybody else noticed that in the "credit crunch" large corporations are making more profits than ever

it seems like they have just found the upper echelon of sustainable greed to me

  1. Pipe down

    Profit does not equal greed .... the credit crunch will always have a lag effect on the economy

    Tango, M+S missed internally set targets, so staff didn't get bonuses ... seems fair enough to me


  2. yep spot on  its about greed,  greed and more greed,  and it`l only get worse...........

    look at petrol, diesel, food , morgages  etc , its ridiculous!!!

  3. Yes I totally agree, Marks & Spencer have anounced their profits recently and although the profits are better than last year they are reducing the shares of their staff. I wonder why? It just don't make sense, it can only be down to greed.

  4. Those corporations not effected by the sub-prime mortgage write downs, will continue to make better profits and even have opportunities to buy and takeover good companies that are for sales. A great Singapore banker said "if you are thrifty and not greedy, you will have the opportunity to buy cheap stocks and companies in times of economic slowdowns.
