Question:

Anybody else wish Magic the Gathering cards were made of better quality material, like casino playing cards?

I love Magic the Gathering, but I hate the cheap cardboard feeling that makes you afraid to shuffle it properly or handle them without a sleeve. Even regular casino playing cards are of much better quality - you can shuffle them over and over and they slide over each other without scratching. And, they are much cheaper than Magic cards (compare the price of a deck of playing cards with the price of a Magic starter deck, wow big difference!). Anybody agree with me?

  1. no......................................... i like yugioh and there cards are better

  2. Luke, if you play Yugioh, then don't come here and troll.  No OP, I'm fine with them.  Just use some good quality card sleeves.  And playing cards are cheaper than magic cards because magic depends on variety.  Each card is used differently and has different value for play.  The way the card is made has no effect on price.

  3. hmm.. maybe you can laminate the cards yourself with a laminator?

  4. That wouldn't be a bad idea. I miss playing MTG. I stopped collecting after Legions and I had a good black deck, lol. No multicolor non sense because people decided to play COP's. Those were the days. They might decide to do it someday though. Wizard's of the Coast is a really good company and I still have cards from Tempest and Ice Age that still look good.
