What was your experience? How long did it take? Did you use a migration agent?

  1. hi myself and my fiancee are in the process at the moment, we should have our visa by august, we applied in march, his skill is in demand so it only takes 6 months. before that he had to get his skills assessesed for that and the visa we used an agent as if you make a mistake on your skills assessment or visa you have to pay the costs again, agents ensure that everything is right the first time so in my opinion is worth getting. all together for skills assessment, medical and visa and agents we have paid around £4000

  2. Hi! My husband and I just immigrated to Oz on a subclass 136 skilled visa. It took us from very start to finish 14 month (that's including having your skills assessed which took about 3 months alone). We have considered using a migration agent but after talking to them realized that their services were not really worth the price. Overall the experience was pretty tough, took a lot of time and money (around 3,000 US dollars) but was definitely worth it. If you have any specific questions just write me on my email. Best of luck to you!

  3. Hi there,

We are about to start this long process! I wish you luck! We will use a migration agent though.
