Anybody ever been to Corozal, Belize before?

I am getting ready to go on a trip in July, and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the type of bugs, animals, people, dangers, tips, etc. that they could let me know about! I have checked around online and there are only some pretty vague answers - anyways, any info. would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure you take some fly repelient sometimes there are a lot of mosquitoes, i dont really think you have to worrry about any other bugs and animals, corozal isnt as big as the other main cities so the crime rate isnt as high, its a very laid back, small town, i wouldnt advise you to travel alone especially at night i would give you the same advise if you were going to paris, since its a foriegn place always stay with someone you know, it's going to be hot so take summer clothes and sometimes it gets a little rainy but i'm sure the weather will be good, i think that you'll enjoy your vacation corozal is a very sweet town, i've been there a few times and i loved it, make sure you pick up some souviners by the local artist and small shops, have fun.
