Anybody ever worked as a pizza delivery driver?

Probably not these days.  I was a pizza delivery person back in the day when regular unleaded was under $1.50 a gallon.  Back then, $4.00 an hour, plus $1.00 for each delivery, plus getting to keep all my tips, was a good deal.  I could easily make $100.00 working 5 hours on Friday or Saturday night.  Now that gas is over $4.00 a gallon, even with the increase in the minimum wage you won't make much.  Don't get me wrong -- I liked the job -- but you'll be spending a lot of your paycheck filling your tank.

If you ride a bike, then yes, the job is good, but the tip won't be so good if you take too long to deliver the pizza to the customer.

You can make some good money being a driver. Just watch your driving. If you get in an accident your insurace will not cover you if they know that you are a delivery driver.

Not with gas prices what they are today -- you usually have to pay for your own transportation costs.

Not if you have to pay for your own gas. I deliver pizza and gas prices are about to make me quit. I have to pay for my own gas at $4.19 per gallon. I have heard some people on here say that they don't have to pay for their own gas. I wish I could find a place like that. I live in Indiana.
