I am not thretened by ugly guys I wont give them the time of day if they are rude, arogant and their personally is bad(but you never really know if they are good guys till you are in that relationship, trust me I know). And another thing is they guys that are not threatend by beautiful girls are most of the time jerks and that is why they have to act smooth and stuff to real you in. Also I hate that guys feel threated by pritty chicks because I am pritty and no dude will come up and talk to me unless I start the conversation. Then they autimaticaly think you like them when you dont even know them. So all I have to say is guys get some backbone because most chick that are beatiful either end up with jerks, or they have to ask the dude out, or the are single!!!

As far as i know u got the whole girl thing write. But last time i checked guys are not  AT ALL threatend bt beutiful women, h**l, i cant get my boyfriend 2 stop playing the number game( a girl walks by and him and other guys rate her 1-10).

Yes I do find it ironic, but still I can relate. I feel disgusted when an ugly man checks me out. And guys probably just feel like their not worthy of the pretty girl or that she may be a *****!

I ain't intimidated, I just don't like the way they think they're "special" and I don't play the game so they get pissed.

Women feel threatened by ugly men because women are judged based on their physical attractiveness.  Thus an ugly bf would draw the woman's attractiveness down...?  Women are also judged by other women based on the attractiveness of their bf.

Another theory here is that "ugly people date ugly people, and attractive people date attractive people".  So if you are dating an ugly person, would that somehow make you feel or appear ugly, regardless of how beautiful you are?  Because its like saying, "this is the best I could do".

As a man, I personally feel threatened by an attractive woman because I know that I can't reach her.  But I look around me and so many people say that looks aren't everything... so if the pretty girl doesn't want to date me, is that saying that I'm ugly?  Not necessarily, for beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but is it also saying that I'm a bad guy?  I certainly feel like it.

Speaking about men in general now, in the evolutionary sense it is essential for us to "spread our seeds".  A beautiful woman is a threat, then, in that she presents a barrier to a man's desire to multiply, because she's only gonna go for the man who is equally attractive.
