  1. That's a pretty broad question....

I am from Munich and I like it a lot. (Population, approx. 1.3 million).

We have lots of parks and green areas where children can play or you can take your dog for a walk.

There are lots of lakes where you can lay out in the summer and go for a swim.

The mountains (the Alps) are really close, so skiing in the winter is easily possible.

In terms of weather we have all four season. It is cold and snowing in the winter, but nice and hot in the summer. It does rain quite a bit though.

The people are regulare city-people. Introverted and stone-faced. You won't see people smiling at you and saying hi on the street (which I experienced a lot while living in SC). Germans might seem unfriendly, but most are not once you get to know them.

Our health care system in Germany is a lot better than in the US. I won't get into it in detail now, just trust me when I say that I feel like I am being taken care of much better here and I have to worry less about extra costs.

The food is amazing. If you grow up in Europe, the food in the States tends to taste very artificial, which I am sure it is. The foreign restaurants are much more authentic. (Italian food is actually Italian and not some form of pasta with marinara sauce....I hated "italian" food in the States). But what I do miss are the burgers on the menus no matter which restaurant you go to. Sometimes I do feel like eating a nice cheeseburger, but not all places offer them.

So this is just some stuff I could think of right now.....like I said, the question is very broad and it is kind of hard to answer it.....hope this helped a little.

  2. Just don't dare to question anything about the Holo.........

  3. I agree with Andrew D - I'm from Ireland and Germany rocks, I'd actually go as far as to say I like it better than home, its fantastic!

  4. I'm not from Germany, I'm from the UK but I absolutely love Germany.

Friendly and welcoming people, charming towns, beautiful cities  and great nightlife.

Germany is sooo under-rated. If you can, go and visit.
