Anybody get the 8.88 rate at super 8 motel?

Super 8 motel got a promotion going on that ends 8/15 the first 800 people to book a room at 8'o'clock EDT get a room for $8.88 per night

No.  I tried 3 nights in a row, would start right at 8pm, had multiple windows opened, and I did NOT get the deal.  I really wonder if they actually did offer this to 800 customers per day!
