I'm on it right now and it's pretty good, it seems to be going a little bit faster than IE8, there's a few things it has left out, but it's still in beta and I'm sure it'll get better.

  1. I have been using it all day and it seems ok, might take a bit of getting used to to tweak it to my full liking but I haven't had any problems all day viewing video or doing internet banking. The skin is a bit boring but then again the space dedicated to the Page is so big you don't really notice it (which is a good thing)

  2. Besides Java Applets, it also has problems with in-line CSS.

    <P STYLE="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">

I also didn't find it that fast. Especially since Applets don't load. They are usually one of the slowest components anyway...

  3. I downloaded Google Chrome(Beta) this morning and I'm already singing praises for it.(eventhough it is the beta version) :-P

    Merits

    ---------

    1. Simple interface

    2. Tabbed browsing(also available in other browsers)

    3. Task Manager(not available in other browsers)

    4. Faster compared to Safari & Firefox 3.0.( I use IE 6,Safari 3.1 and Firefox 3.0)

    5. one box(The address box) for searching on Google as well as surfing.

    6. Dynamic tabs.

    Demerits

    -------------

    1. Simple interface as I said.(Safari displays Apple's brilliance in design)

    2. I read in a post that Paragraphs cannot be formatted properly in forums.

    3. Application does not completely close in laptops. (Detailed reference here)

Hope this helps. Please do mark my answer as the best one, if you feel so.

  4. I love the new browser and I think it's going to kill IE. It's just a better browser all together - and super fast. My favorite things about it is that it runs Javascript code much faster and that makes Google docs so much better!

It's working great for me as we speak, and I'm a die hard Firefox user!

  5. I used Firefox beforehand and Chrome seems to go faster as well. I'm sure it will get a lot better as they release new versions. I suspect it'll dominate IE, and perhaps even surpass Firefox. What's unfortunate is how they don't have Applications yet, which rock on Firefox, but anyway, the incognito mode really kicks ***, as does how one tab crashing doesn't crash the whole browser.

  6. It is definitely faster than IE8 but I think comparable (or a little slower) to Firefox. Like you said it is still in Beta yet, how I wish the Java applet is already built into it at this moment. Now I can't do my Internet Banking through Google Chrome. :p

And also colour customisation will be really great if it is in the option. Instead of seeing just the default Blue skin. :)
