your best bet are some of the large financial institutions, including commercial banks, in the area.  Columbus used to be kind of a financial center (i went to ohio state), especially when Bank One was still headquartered there. McDonald's & Co. was a well known Ohio-based investment bank, but they may have been purchased.  but they still have a big presence in cleveland.  as does KeyBank.  

check the Ohio Capital Fund.  Also, Big 4 firms hire investmetn banking positions in columbus, but these are more along the lines of consulting jobs.  but the title is still investment banking.  Try Chase, National City, Nationwide (not quite IB, but still some cool investment related jobs).

Also try American Electric Power's Energy Trading group.   but like i said, in ohio, your best bet is teh commercial bank's IB groups.  

Stout Risius Ross has a columbus office and engage in middle market investment banking.

you will have to research diligently to know any. Most top ibanks are in NYC, Chicago or LA which most of the deals are happening. You might find some hedgefunds but ibanks in OHIO will likely to very small, and I mean SMALL.
