  4. You like "books that aren't so popular", yet you gave Fight Club as an example, which is a best seller and has a movie adaptation...

Also, what does popularity have to do with the quality of a book? Many of popular books have gotten that way for a reason; they're great. And some are horrible, just like some "not so popular" books are good and some aren't. It's about the book, not the status quo. I know your type, and it's really obnoxious.

Anyway, some quality books you might be interested in, and I'm basing this off of Fight Club, are, obviously, other books by Chuck P, particularly Survivor and Invisible Monsters. Outside of that author, there's Clockwork Orange, Naked Lunch, Less Than Zero, Fahrenheit 451, We, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, High Fidelity, Slaughterhouse Five, Breakfast of Champions, Man Without a Country, Paradise Lost, Oil, A Tale of Two Cities, Pale Fire, House of Leaves, Nausea. All of those are titles, search them on amazon.com to see author names and book details to determine if you are further interested.

  5. Of course, check out Palahniuk's other novels. Also check out the Bourne Novels (way different from the movies)

    Also check out:

Requiem for a Dream: A Novel by Hubert Selby

The Rules of Attraction by Bret Easton Ellis

Clown Girl: A Novel by Monica Drake

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey

Less Than Zero by Bret Easton Ellis

American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis

A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess

  6. I just finished the Book Thief. I don't know if it is popular or not, but it is one of the best books I have ever read. Very unique, very easy to get into.
