Anybody have any idea what a BMW 535i mid-1990's might be worth for parts? ?

Really need a exact year here.

My rule is I buy no parts cars like yours for more than 300 bucks and it better have some nice parts on it..

The only parts you might sell are

1. Seats

2. transmission if it still works.

3. Engine wiring harness/computer and all parts related to engine management

4. Driveline

5. gauge cluster

6. The clock/trip computer if the screen is still clear

7. knick nacks like here and there. And MAYBE just the cylinder head

I know I have many cars like yours laying around and people just don;t buy.. Parting out a car is a dumb idea.  Sounds good but in the end its just a low income hassel.

First for "SAM A" 535s were made until 1993. They were replaced by the infamous Nikasil 8 cylinder engines (530 and 540).

My son wrecked his 535 about 2 months ago. I got $300 for it. The front clip and one door were damaged. Everything else was in good shape.

If you want to part the car out, you can make some money on it. However, most people don't have the inclination, time or capability to do this. It takes a lot of effort to strip the car and then you have to find someone that needs the parts. Ebay is probably the fastest way to do it but coordinating shipping on large parts can be a frustrating process. Then, once you get rid of the parts, you are left with the basic shell which you probably would have to pay someone to take it off of your hands.

first of all, the 535i was not made ANY later than 1990.

now thats out of the way, an e34 5 series could be worth about 200 dollars in parts if you play your cards right.

Depends on the mileage and body condition...is it totaled?...engine and trans could be worth 3-4 k...WORTH LISTING  or even calling some garages to let them know you have it avail...
