Anybody have any ideas how to save endangered species?

I know that if people don't stop poaching they will all be gone, but what are other causes? and how can we help preserve them?

And if anyone says that they don't care about the animals, don't bother posting

stop buying fur coats, make fines & punishment higher if caught poaching,I guess the name of the game is money as long as people buy skins, furs, tusk, etc. it will continue plus wild life is destroyed by stupid people starting fires.  Same with our oceans, carelessness.

Yes, the best, and most impactual way, is for humans to stop breeding like rats.

The ever-increasing human population is the cause for all our environmental problems, including those that effect the wildlife of this planet.  We are not only using up all our natural resources, we are severely damaging the animals and plants of our Earth in the process.  Plagues and diseases are on the increase.  Pollution and O-zone damage is only getting worse.  Etc, etc.

Families MUST be limited to TWO children per couple.  It is insane to have more than that.  

Watch the movies "Soylent Green" and "Blade Runner" if you want to know our destiny IF man's population does not stop increasing and increasing and increasing.

If things do not change, we WILL destroy this planet solely by our sheer numbers.

that has to be answered on a case by case basis,  there is no one reason why all endangered species are threatened,   for some poaching may be the reason, for others it may be loss of habitat, or food sources,    Responsible stewardship of our natural resources will go farther than any other method at preserving endangered species.

Most animals are endangered due to habitat loss.  Save the habitat and save the animal.  You can try and save habitat locally by getting involved in your local town meetings, and writing your local representatives when land issues come up. Many times the building of mini-malls, condos. freeways, etc. are discussed first and citizens have a chance to oppose these things being built in wild habitats.  Where I live there was going to be a freeway built in some very nice habitat, and the people fought it and won. You can also donate to organizations such as the Nature Conservancy that buy land specifically to keep it wild.

Donating to a reputable agency could be the best approach for some but check them out first as there are some schemers.
