  1. I am a practitioner of Shinkage-ryu Iaijutsu, which is quite similar to battojutsu.  I love it, but now that I've moved, I can't find another dojo that teaches it.  I'll have to make due with visits back home, I suppose.

  2. As a practitioner of Bujinkan Budo Taijustu I have trained in Happo Biken Koppojutsu which has Battojutsu in it.

  3. There are several exponents of japanese swordsmanship who regularly post on this forum.

I am both a student and instructor of Shinkendo, Obata Toshishiros recombinant form of Nippon Shinkenjutsu. It includes the five components of Japanese Sword training - suburi, battoho, tanrengata, tachiuchi and tameshigiri.

See www.shinkendo.com or see Obata Kaiso on National Geograhics' "Fight Science."

  4. no i dont think there is such a thing.  besides real martial arts only involve hand to hand combat anyway.
