Anybody have any tips to help me learn how to do chest/rib circles (in belly dancing)?

I'm pretty flexible all over my body and I picked up hip circles and beginner belly rolls pretty easily. Now I'm working on chest and rib circles, and I can't seem to control my joints there! any tips?

One way to really focus your upper body isolations is to sit while working on them.  You don't have to focus on NOT moving other parts of your body so much, because they won't move while you are sitting.  Once you get the basic idea of the movement, it should be easier to work on it in the standing position.
