Anybody hear about David Carle?

Matt Carle's(sharks) brother david was going to be in the draft but at the combine they found a heart condition that is going to end the possibility of a career in the nhl. However the bolts drafted him yesterday so at least he could say he was drafted what a classy move.

Yes, I read about that on NHL.com. It was a really classy move by the Lightning organization, even though he will not have a career in the NHL he can take solace in the fact that he got drafted.

apparently tampa bay thinks he should be ok,as they were aware of it before they drafted him, hopefully it won't be like jiri fischer or what caused steve konowalchuk to retire

Awwwww........I didn't hear about that yet, but when I just read it I wanted to cry.

That was an EXTREMELY classy move for Tampa. They could've picked any other boy (a healthy one at that) but they chose him just so he could say he was drafted......Honestly, that is the sweetest thing I've heard an organization do.

it it were not for the combine. david would have never know the Extent of his heart problems. There is a good chance he would have collapsed during a game or practice. another NHL player has the same problem (jiri fischer) and he is still on the detroit roster. but he is helping in there scouting area. David well go on to the University of Denver and attend classes. the UD  well uphold there agreement to a full scholership. Even though his hockey career is over.
