A major brawl at Thursday night's Dayton, Ohio Dragons game sent one fan to the hospital and a pitcher to jail.

It began in the first inning with an argument between Dragons manager Donnie Scott and acting Peoria manager Carmelo Martinez. Both benches cleared when Chiefs pitcher Julio Castillo fired a baseball toward the Dragons dugout. The ball missed the dugout, and hit a fan sitting in the stands.

  1. Yeah it happened during the minor league brawl between the Peoria Chiefs and the Ohio Dragons.  The brawl is one thing, it's players on players and it's not the first brawl in baseball history, but when fans get involved then it's inexcusable.

  2. Yeah.  What a d!ckhead.  He won't be pitching in the majors anytime soon.

    VIDEO!! Oh snap!!

Oh and Erin, in Ohio, it's aggravated assault if you intentionally attempt to or cause serious physical harm to an individual using a weapon. And a deadly weapon can be any instrument intentionally used to cause harm...so long as it is not a body part.

Wouldn't you be pissed if you got hit in the face with a baseball?

  5. That was stupid judgment

  6. i saw it on some show on espn that would suck if it hit a little kid

  7. Pitcher should of thought before throwing the ball. He should of known that if a ball is thrown it can land anywhere.

  8. I think it's weird how he went to jail for assault with a deadly weapon.. I mean, really? A deadly weapon?

I don't even think it's assault.. I don't know, but I doubt he really meant to hit the person..

  9. Yeah He tried to get it in the dugout lol 17 players got suspended
