Well I'm not from France, but I have been learning from a great program called Muzzy. It sounds silly, but I have learned quickly.

  I can teach you basic numbers, colors, and greetings though.

What exactly is your level?

I find it quite difficult to teach someone a language- especially if they are not in a classroom.

I was looking at the answer above, and had to giggle a little because the pronunciation is really bad.

You'd have to get your ears used to the language.... mainly the pronunciation because it's hard--by watching Movies, and listening to music if you can. Reading children's books also helps.

i'm not sure if amazon maybe sells workbooks, but that's something you can check.

self study is difficult if you don't have a base.

try community college- or enrolling in a french class in high school (if you're still there)

it could help you to discover the French language. It is probably not the best site or the best method. But it could provide you some information to learn French.
