In england they use that word cricket like it is a good thing.

i dont exactly get ur problem.

but if it helps:

cricket is a sport for people who like to watch half-wits swing a bat as a ball comes flying at their face. or for some of the cricket players, they prefer to stand there waiting for a ball to come their way so that they can pick it up and just throw it right back!!!!

by now you must have guessed that i dont like cricket - my brother and dad love it. i mean seriously what is the world coming to?

most of the guys who play cricket for australia, have rocky relationships, absolutely no brain left whatsoever, no common sense (was there even any in the first place?!), and have made enough money and fans to keep them going in their lonely, pathetic lives. but soon enough they realise that it was a terible career choice.

It's just not cricket - is an expression about fairness.  It refers to the spirit with which *used* to be played. One where the umpires decision was accepted without question, where a fieldsman's word was accepted and batsmen would walk.

Sadely that has disappeared from cricket now.  Electronic devices are being used to aid umpires, a fieldsman's word is not accepted and most _don't_ batsmen walk.

Quite sad actually ... :-(
