Anybody know any good remedies for anxiety ?

I don't want to go to the doctor & get prescription drugs, I'm looking for natural remedies or cognitive therapy exercises. Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

  3. I felt the same way. Please take this into consideration. It worked for me, although I am not you.

    I had overwhelming anxiety. It turned out to be my use of Splenda. Yup Splenda. How could something that taste so good, be so bad?



    I like to say sucralose, not Splenda, because that is what Splenda is. And it is in a lot of stuff. The package doesn't have to say Splenda to have sucralose

    in it. You have to read labels. So, you might still be using it and don't even know it!



    Sucralose is poison. It ruined five years of my life. I had a laundry list of medical problems while taking it, including overwhelming anxiety, depression,

    mood swings, insomnia and more.

    The slogan, "Made from sugar..." is very misleading. Splenda might be made from sugar, but it is far from sugar. The resulting chemical is an organochloride

    (chlorocarbon). Organochlorides are typically poisons.

  5. I suffer really bad from Anxiety. I find that relaxing and doing something which you enjoy really does help take your mind off things and takes that "feeling" away.

    If it's at night I get anxious I sometimes drink herbal tea, relax on my bed and watch a movie or read a book. Gradually I start to feel sleepy and then I fall asleep.

    If its in the morning I start to feel anxious sometimes I couldn't even go out it was that bad!!! This may sound silly.. but what I now say to myself is "fight the fear of the fear". The whole reason we are anxious is because we're in fear of that fear feeling we get when we're anxious. I hope Ive made sense and helped in some sort of way.

  7. count to 60 and take deep breathes, then think of how everything happens for a reason and and any situation you are in or will be in, is just because.

  9. Try to relax more.  Exercise, go for a walk, spend time with a friend or read a good book.  Good luck and feel better.

  10. Yoga, meditation and breathing exercises all help.

    There are a number of homeopathic rememdies too - why not try Bach Rescue Remedy for one?

    The herbal remedy Kava-Kava is known to have calming effects as does Valerian Root.

    Aromatherapy with Lavender is also known for his calming qualities. You can usually get Lavender oil at health food stores. You can place it on a sheet between your pillow case or dab a few drops on your wrist.

    Practicing HOW to breathe also helps. When you feel stressed--close your eyes and take a breath through your diaphragm (not stomach) in through your nose and out through your mouth.

    Controlled breathing brings down levels of stress and anxiety.
