  1. Herbs used in medieval Europe

    Angelica:  expectorant, antispasmodic.

    Chamomile: Abrasions, carminative, anti-ulcer, respiratory.

    Fennel: Carminative, treat diarrhea, cramps.

    Feverfew:  To treat headaches (prophylactic)

    Garlic:  disease protection.

    Hollyhock: Immunity, fevers, dysentery, diarrhea, laxative, sore throats.

    Lavender:  sleep aid, headache

    Lemon balm: Cooling, relaxing, colds.

    Lovage: Sedative, warms, diuretic, expectorant, spasms.

    Mint: Carminative, antiseptic, muscle spasms, warming, cooling, stimulating.

    Mullein: congestion.

    Rose:  Bark and floral tea stimulating tonic to treat dysentery, kill worms, eye wash.
