  1. BH are more of a tightening sensation across the belly, I've had them severely with all of my pregnancies from early on and never had a push type urge.

  2. I have had BHC, but never the urge to push, they are just very uncomfortable and sometimes painful.  Maybe it was a dream since you said it happened while you were sleeping, but i would check up with the doctor on this because i didn't start getting BHC's until i was about 24 weeks.

  3. With my first I had braxton hicks from around 20 weeks, but definatley not pushing sensation, more like painless but uncomfortable feeling where whole stomach goes hard for 30 seconds or so, can sometimes leave you a bit breathless.  I would talk to your midwife/doctor asap just to make sure everything is okay.  When I was early pregnant with my second child quite often I would get what I would describe as a dragging feeling in my cervix/v****a area  which could be similar to a pushing sensation, this was more when I was up and walking around though, and I think it was something to do with hormones and everything just loosening up and softening of ligaments etc.
