I have recently acquired a tadpole which has since grown into a frog. I know everything I need to know about housing and other care for it but have no idea what I should feed it when I move it to its new tank. Until now it has been outdoors and it has had plenty of insects to eat but it is no longer possible to keep it outdoors. Is there any commercial food suitable for irish frogs?

  1. its illegal to take tadpoles/ frogs from the wild in ireland as they are protected!

i hope you bought your tadpole legally!!!

anyway as far as i know they will eat crickets which you can buy live and tadpoles that just turned into frogs should eat normal fish food!
