Anybody know cheap therapists?

What I did was googled low cost therapy in my area. I called several places and found the ones that would pertain to what I needed. I then got on a waiting list, some are very busy so be prepared to wait.

They run on a sliding scale of how much money you make. If your under 18 I think there maybe a lot more options. I pay $15 a session and there is no time limit to how long I can see this therapist. So ask question on what ever you need. Make sure that the therapist is what you are looking for. I hear voices so I wanted one who has worked with people that hear voices. Make a list before you talk with them it will really help.

Look for counselors who have a sliding scale.  A lot of not for profit organizations have counselors who work for free or for very little.  Catholic Charities is one around me.

I tend to be both cheap and good.

After a 12-session program in which you learn everything there is to know about yourself (in a highly positive and practical way), I conduct therapy in blocks of 3 hourly sessions for $100. That's $33 a session!

I live in the central Connecticut area, where therapy with a psychologist is from $80 to $150 a session. So I think I'm cheap!

A lot of clergy are trained counselors as well, check around.  If your issue is subject specific such as eating or drinking problems, check your yellow pages as they have support groups and counselors as well.
