i bought a 1993 Yamaha Virago 535. It had a very bad windshield on it so i wanted to take the whole thing off, and convert back to a bike without a windshield. Windshield came off fine. But i can not, for the life of Me, figure out how to get the front turn signals apart and off the windshield's bracket out of the bracket's tiny holes where the wiring goes through and back on the holes that they were orginally in?! Anybody got any ideas? Thanks!!

  1. Some farings have the turn signal housing as part of the entire molded assembly, they don't remove. Only the lens cover seperates

  2. Most likely the original turn signal assemblies were removed when the windshield was installed.  The shield has it's own integrated units.  If you're discarding the shield, you'll need to track down the OEM items (and probably the brackets or mounts) or an after-market replacement set.

I believe the OEMs on a Virago were attached to ears on the side of the triple crown or the headlight.  May be wrong on that, memory is a bit rusty there.

  3. I really dont know the answer to this, so I am jsut guessing, but it may be that the signals are part of the windshield set up. You may need to just get some replacement blinkers to put on your bike. Should be able to get em froma salvage yard or off ebay.
