I'm not fat, nor am I looking to loose weight. I just want to eat healthier, and have more variety in my food because It's getting quite repetitive.

I use the word "diet" because that's what it is, my diet. I don't want food that has 10 calories, tastes like cardboard and won't keep me full for very long.

I want food that I can enjoy cooking (but my cooking skills are quite beginner, I'm 15 and have to be able to have myself or my mother make the food in under an hour) that's also healthy and tastes good.

So yeah, anyone got any suggestions? For best answer I'm looking for someone that can give me some kind of "cycle" of food

  1. Get one of Rachel Ray's cookbooks.  All her recipes can be cooked in 30 minutes or less and her recipes are tasty and usually pretty healthy.  If you can read and follow instructions you will be a chef after a making a few meals!

Like the other guy said - the Weight Watchers cook books are great too! quite easy to follow instructions for healthy meals.

  2. I bought a Weight Watchers cookbook and I love it. I know you're not trying to lose weight, but the WW program is a lot about weight maintenance anyway as well as loss, so you don't need to worry about that.

There are a lot of super easy meals in there, with a lot of choices. I'm 19 and had to learn to cook because I moved overseas away from my personal chef (my dad!) and have to fend for myself now. The food in the WW cookbook is healthy and really tasty, and you can just pick a few meals and put them on a rotation if you want (and buy the ingredients in bulk - buy 2lbs of ground beef, and that will be enough make you burgers one night and lasagna another!)

I'm sure if you go to any bookstore and browse the cookbook section, you'll at the least find some great ideas, and at the most find a cookbook or diet book that suits what you're looking for. Good luck!
