  1. the Twilight series  is awesome, it's about a vampire who falls in love with a mortal named Bella. It's a romance and a bit mushy gushy in my opinion. There's also, the Da Vinci code, which is a packed full  puzzling mystery about a murder and some clues left in Da vinci's paintings.

  2. The Darkwing Omnibus.

The vengeful Darkwing has determined opponents in Gardep the warrior, Cusha the slave-girl, and Vishtar the captive. Each has embarked on a quest to fulfil their destiny. But is anyone equipped to defeat the demon lord, especially as the cruel sun sets, beckoning a devastatingly relentless winter? In Rise of the Blood Moon and its gripping sequel Setting of a Cruel Sun, award-winning author Alan Gibbons has written a sweeping epic of mighty battles, betrayals, broken promises, and secrets revealed.

    Uglies by Scott Westerfeld

Tally lives in a world where your sixteenth birthday brings aesthetic perfection: an operation which erases your flaws, transforming you from an 'Ugly' into a 'Pretty'. She is on the eve of this important event, and cannot wait for her life to change. As well as guaranteeing supermodel looks, life as a Pretty seems to revolve around having a good time. But then she meets Shay, who is also fifteen - but with a very different outlook on life. Before her operation she plans to escape to a community in the forest - the Rusty Ruins - where Uglies go to escape ' turning'. Tally won't be persuaded to join her, as this would involve sacrificing everything she's ever wanted for a lot of uncertainty. When she is taken in for questioning on her birthday, however, Tally gets sent to the Ruins anyway - against her will. The state wants her to go on an undercover mission and report back about the location of the community; otherwise she will forfeit her birthday operation. What she discovers in the Ruins reveals that there is nothing 'pretty' about the transformations...

  3. "The Book Thief" by Marcus Zusak. It's a great story not only about WWII, but the innocence of children . . . It is told from the unique perspective of Death. The book is an extremely well-written love story, mystery, thriller, and heart-breaker. The last 50 pages will have you in tears or dang-near to it. The ending is as much beautiful as it is poignant. The book is long, but for me, never seemed to drag. All of the details were so important and extremely well thought out. Read this book. It is amazing.

  4. Twilight

Bella Swan has always been a little bit different. Never one to run with the crowd, Bella never cared about fitting in with the trendy, plastic girls at her Phoenix, Arizona high school. When her mother remarried and sent Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she didn't expect much of anything to change. But things do change when she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen. For Edward is nothing like any boy she's ever met. He's nothing like anyone she's ever met, period. He's intelligent and witty, and he seems to see straight into her soul. In no time at all, they are swept up in a passionate and decidedly unorthodox romance - unorthodox because Edward really isn't like the other boys. He can run faster than a mountain lion. He can stop a moving car with his bare hands. Oh, and he hasn't aged since 1918. Like all vampires, he's immortal. That's right - vampire. But he doesn't have fangs - that's just in the movies. And he doesn't drink human blood, though Edward and his family are unique among vampires in that lifestyle choice. To Edward, Bella is that thing he has waited 90 years for - a soul mate. But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy. Somehow or other, they will have to manage their unmanageable love. But what will they do when Laurent and James, the Cullens' mortal vampire enemies, come to town, looking for Bella

  6. As Simple As Snow by Gregory Galloway.... it's about a boy who has to go in search after his girlfriend after she goes missing and leaves behind clues about where she's gone. It's really well written and it has an ending that just blows your mind. It also has some really great life lessons in it.

  7. Mistborn: The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson

This is the first book of a fantasy trilogy about a girl named Vin.  Vin grew up on the streets with her abusive older brother, leaving her skittish and untrusting.  She meets Kelsier, who is the first good man she's known, and finds out she is a Mistborn (which means she can use super cool magic type stuff, lol).  Kelsier plans to steal all of The Lord Ruler's supply of the most valuable commodity in the world--a special metal that can only be found in one place.  Everyone thinks this is impossible because the Lord Ruler has ruled the world as a tyrant god for a thousand years, but Kelsier inspires such confidence and hope that they go about it anyway.

I don't explain it well, but this book is amazing.

If you do read it and finish it before October 14th (the day the third book comes out), let me know. ^^  Sanderson is having a drawing and getting someone to read his first book before the third comes out is how you qualify, lol.  And I'm too honest to lie >.<;  Anyway, the book is awesome, not just a chance for me to win a poster. ^__^

  8. I don't know your age so I'll suggest a few books that i personally love :) (I'm a 17-year old girl btw)

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer - It's a story about how a normal, human girl moves to a North-Eastern state to live with her father and along the way falls in love with a perfect, vampire boy. I'd never read anything in the genre before and picked it up by chance, but I found it intriguing, hard to put down and I honestly love it. 1st in a 4 part - which is all awesome :D

Before I Die by Jenny Buckham - About a 16-year old with terminal cancer who has a thoroughly modern list to complet before she dies. It could be viewed as depressing, but i found it uplifting and made me think very hard about life afterwards. Its real and true, heartbreaking and in instantces comedic.

A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks - Bad boy Landon finds love with the Reverands daughter - but theres a lot more to it! Really sweet but moving. A lot deeper than it sounds.

Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden - A view into another world, as viewed by young Geisha Sayuri. Beautiful and a very heartfelt story of the life of a geisha. Again, not my usual story but it was brilliant.

Northern Lights, Subtle Knife, Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman - A fantasy trilogy, if you're into this genre, it truly gets no better than this. The story is deep, mystical and vivid. Set in a parallel universe, Lyra travels across the world to find her young friend roger meeting all sorts of friends and foes, of every creature imaginable, along the way. My synopsis does not in any means truly measure these books!

Lord of the Rings Trilogy - adventure and passion written from the great storyteller that was Tolkein. Magical (check films too!)

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen - the ultimate romance if you can handle old writing styles! :P
